Memphis Sports and Events Center Launches In-House Volleyball Club

TENACITY Volleyball Club to offer “Elite Training in Elite Facilities”

MEMPHIS, TN – Memphis Sports and Events Center has announced the launch of its new in-house volleyball club, TENACITY.

TENACITY Volleyball Club will be housed in the state-of-the-art facility located in Liberty Park. The brand new club will offer National, Regional and Developmental Teams along with positional training, team camps and sports performance.

“While we proudly collaborate with a number of volleyball clubs already, founding our own allows us to completely control the athlete experience,” says Antonio Perez, Memphis Sports and Events Center’s General Manager. “From training and tournament play to guidance on college recruitment, our club’s offerings will be second to none as we aim to make TENACITY a household name within the volleyball community.”

TENACITY has been sanctioned by both USA Volleyball and the Junior Volleyball Association, America’s leading youth volleyball organizations. With up to 32 volleyball courts available under one roof, TENACITY’s athletes will receive a distinct competitive advantage as they’ll train on Taraflex courts – the preferred volleyball flooring system of the Olympics and many NCAA Division-1 schools. The club will be directed by Kiyla Glasper, a four-time state champion as a player and coach, a collegiate standout at University of Memphis, a former assistant coach at both Briarcrest Christian School and Rhodes College and a Master Coach at one of the area’s top clubs. She will be flanked by an expert staff of volleyball professionals who are similarly committed to growing the game.

“Launching a club has been a decade-long dream and I can think of no place better to do it than at MSEC,” said Glasper, who was recently named a Memphis Business Journal “40 Under 40” honoree. “I’m fully committed to helping players become the very best versions of themselves and look forward to leveraging my experience and relationships within the sport for the betterment of the club.”

Tryouts for TENACITY Volleyball Club will take place in the Fall while registration for leagues, clinics and lessons are available now. Those seeking to learn more and/or join are encouraged to visit TENACITY’s new website, TENACITYvbc.com, or email info@tenacityvbc.com
