Nike EYBL Coming to Memphis Sports and Events Center

Memphis to play host to prestigious youth basketball event in 2023

Memphis, TN - Nike has announced that its Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) – widely seen as the most prestigious and competitive league in all of youth basketball – will make a stop at the brand new Memphis Sports and Events Center during Memorial Day Weekend of 2023.

Nike EYBL is a basketball circuit for players aged 17 and under. Founded in 2010 and comprised of pre-selected AAU travel teams, it features many of the nation’s top prospects. Alumni include NBA stars such as Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Jaren Jackson Jr. (Memphis Grizzlies), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics) and Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks).

“This caliber of event is the exact reason the MSEC was built”, said Antonio Perez, General Manager of the Memphis Sports and Events Center. “Before this facility, Memphis would have never been a candidate to host such an event. Now, it has the opportunity to not only showcase an amazing venue, but to spotlight all that the city has to offer. It’s a true testament to the hard work of those who helped make the overall project happen.”

The 2023 edition of Nike EYBL will feature 5 stops in total, including Atlanta, GA (April 21-23), Phoenix, AZ (April 28-30), Dallas, TX (May 12-14) and Memphis, TN (May 26-29). The circuit will conclude at Peach Jam, taking place July 3-9 in N. Augusta, SC.

Additional event information will be released at a later date. To learn more about Memphis Sports and Events Center and to stay up to date, visit https://themsec.com.
